Bio

Yung'Cid
Bedfordshire, UK
Yung’cid is an up-and-coming musician from the UK. Aside from singing and producing music, cid also dabbles in graphic design, mixes his music as well as other artists. One of two children himself, cid grew up in an average middle-class household with its own share of problems. cid also grew up with mental health struggles and addiction, which inspired cid to first hook up his mic and computer and make music. At 25, cid found himself in the middle of the COVID pandemic lockdowns and started recording himself as a way to try and soothe his mind and cope with the difficult times. One of Yung’cid’s main goals in life is to help those who feel lost or are broken down from a difficult upbringing see that they can make it through the trials and tribulations and achieve their dreams despite the challenges they may face. Cid stands out as an artist due to the fact he draws from multiple genres, ranging from hip-hop and R&B to metalcore and emo. cid blends these genres to create a unique blend of traditional pop-punk/rock tracks, but also R&B tracks combined with rap and “emo trap” elements. Yung’cid’s cadence and voice create a recognizable atmosphere in every song he writes, regardless of the genre. In the last two years since becoming an artist, cid has been featured on BBC Music Introducing, has worked with artists signed to major and indie record labels, has achieved placement on Spotify Editorial Playlists, and amassed over a quarter of a million streams on Spotify alone.
